Appearance:
Aria has always been pretty. Her auburn flows down to her waist and is kept well brushed at all times so it shines like a flickering flame. Her skin is like porcelain, smooth and clear and fair. Her eyes are large and heavy lashed. They’re a pale gray-blue shade, beautiful but useless. Aria is blind and has been since birth. Her hand and feet, which are smooth and well kempt, are how she chooses to see when she’s at home. She knows the feeling of every surface in her small studio apartment and can find her way around with ease. When she leaves her home, she has to put on shoes, so Mae becomes her eyes. Mae’s a Siberian Husky/Shiloh Shepard cross and welled trained as a seeing-eye dog. She’s Aria’s best friend.

Personality:
Since Aria was born blind, she’s used to people expecting her to be helpless. She is used to people rushing to her aid, convinced there is little she can do on her own. She hates this. Aria is a very capable young lady, with quick wits and seemingly everlasting patients. She’s proud to a fault, but determined and brave. She approaches problems calming, but head on, never giving up without a fight. Well, metaphorically at least. When it comes to actual physical violence, Aria has little experience and wants it to stay like that. She liked keeping control and order in her life, as so often she’s felt like she’s had little of either.

History:
Aria is the only daughter of Richard and Poppy Daye. Though their new daughter was born without sight, the Daye’s were determined she would have as close to a normal life as she could. Both with stable well-paying jobs, Aria was able to have every advantage money could buy. Alright, so she was a pampered child with doting parents. But that didn’t make her soft or anything. She worked hard at everything she tried, determined to do well and prove herself.

Aria was never very good at making friends as a child, so she would turn to the company of books. She’d started learning braille when she was five. She loves reading. She can spend ours lost between the pages of a book. Her parents worried this was making her too unsocial, so they enrolled her in several after school programs, most of them music based as Aria has always loved music. Nearly all of them she disliked, but she found herself drawn to her vocalist lessons, where she discovered not only did she love singing, but she was good at it. She continued in them throughout the rest of her school days. Since graduating she’s been able to get a few jobs singing, though she does most of her work just for the love of song.

As for her actual career, Aria discovered modeling when she was sixteen. It started as a bit of a joke and a way to make a little spare money, but soon she started getting better jobs with better known photographers. She was talented.
